Meet Carla
Curious about people.
Intentional about learning.
I’m a curriculum and assessment developer, public speaker, and educator with more than ten years of experience spanning higher education, K–12, early learning, and adult and workplace learning.
I also lead courses, workshops, and continuing education for teachers, including conference sessions such as Kallah. My work connects the big picture—what a course should help people do—with the details that shape how they experience it: the question, the example, the instructions, the feedback.

The perspective I bring
Learning is a
human experience.
I bring experience in curriculum development, assessment design, professional learning, and editing. I‘ve worked with young children and adult learners, and I’m interested in the conditions that help people ask questions and engage with ideas.
I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, Argentine-born, and a first-generation college graduate. Those experiences inform my attention to the assumptions, language, and expectations learners encounter.
My graduate study in curriculum and instruction and educational leadership supports the way I connect learning design to its wider context.
Clarity
Learners should understand what they are being asked to do and why it matters.
What I value in the work
Meaningful Practice
Activities should give people a reason to think, make decisions, and try.
Room to Improve
Feedback and revision deserve a place in the design from the beginning.
Selected experience
Across settings.
